Role Overview
The Senior Production Manager plays a pivotal role at WPP Production, ensuring that client expectations are consistently met and exceeded through high-end delivery, strategic management, and operational excellence.
This role requires a highly structured, hyper-organized, and client-centric leader responsible for driving multidisciplinary projects—with a heavy emphasis on post-production workflows, executive stakeholder management, and financial control for key accounts, as well as supporting regional delivery (TAM scope).
Key Responsibilities
-
Executive Client Facing & Relationship Management:
Act as the primary senior point of contact for key regional and global clients. Build, maintain, and elevate client relationships through polished communication, proactive guidance, and executive-level problem-solving. -
End-to-End Production & Post-Production Management:
Lead and oversee complex production and post-production workflows across digital, video, animation, audio, print, and non-digital channels. Ensure high-end technical and creative standards are met consistently. -
Brief Interpretation & Execution:
Deconstruct and interpret strategic client briefs, establishing precise execution plans and directing internal multidisciplinary operational teams (creativity, post-production, retouching, compositing, dynamic adaptation, and delivery). -
Financial & Administrative Rigor:
Maintain continuous and meticulous administrative oversight. Own daily financial trackers, monitor project profitability, issue accurate estimates based on rate cards, manage overages, and maintain real-time invoicing data for Finance and Management. -
Regional & TAM Support Alignment:
Leverage multilingual skills and technical production acumen to support regional scope and cross-market workflows (TAM integration), ensuring smooth collaboration across global/LATAM stakeholders. -
Quality Assurance & Governance:
Ensure all deliverables strictly align with required technical specs, formats, brand guidelines, and quality standards prior to deployment across media channels.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Film Production, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 4+ years of proven experience as a Production / Post-Production Project Manager in advertising agencies, production hubs, or digital studios, managing enterprise-level client accounts.
- Post-Production Expertise: In-depth technical understanding of post-production pipelines, video workflows, trafficking, and dynamic digital deliverable specs.
- Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (mandatory) and strong multilingual capabilities to support cross-regional accounts.
- Financial Management: Hands-on experience managing rate cards, project margins, scope creep, and financial tracking toolsets.
Core Competencies & Executive Skills
- Executive Presence & Client Facing: Outstanding negotiation, diplomacy, and communication skills suitable for high-touch, tier-1 clients.
- Hyper-Organized & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational and administrative discipline; able to manage multi-track projects smoothly under pressure.
- Strategic Problem Solver: Autonomous, proactive, and resourceful in navigating challenges, optimizing processes, and delivering solutions without needing micromanagement.
