Associate Producer
Job Description
The Associate Producer is responsible for working with the team to assist in translating creative ideas and briefs into project plans and deliverables for small-scale live events, brand activations, and pop-ups within budget and schedule parameters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- For small-scale projects:
- Oversee the management and delivery of projects, ensuring consistently high standards throughout
- Scope out projects based on initial briefs, building teams, sourcing vendors, creating project plans and budgets accordingly
- Act as a day-to-day contact for client project leads, managing their needs and maintaining WPP Productions relationships
- Build, manage and reconcile project budgets – managing both client expectations and WPP Production’s margin targets
- Lead internal process requirements for project delivery, including managing project folders, vendor set up and payments
- Manage project teams, overseeing the quality and timeliness of their work and ensuring their time spent is budgeted accordingly
- In coordination with the other members of the team, to research, appoint and manage suitable vendors to assist in the delivery of projects
- Lead the production team onsite including, but not limited to client management, onsite schedule ownership and oversight of all production and delivery, daily reports to client and internal team
- Debrief projects to ensure postmortem learning and future business development
- Line Produce/assist on elements of the production of large-scale events under Senior / Executive Producers
- Travel is required and typically over weekends and some holidays
- Fully understand and implement greater Agency Process
- Contribute to growing a healthy company culture and always looking to improve our communication and processes
- Consider and actively pursue sustainability practices within our projects as best we can
