What does a Global Creative & Innovation Director do at WPP Production? 

We are seeking a visionary Global Creative Technology/ Innovation Director to drive world-class creative excellence across HEX Studio partnering with AI-powered production talent globally. This is a high-impact, senior-level role that blends creativity, strategic vision, technological fluency, and leadership — aimed at shaping the future of authentic storytelling for native new tech users.

As the Global Creative Innovation Director, you’ll be responsible for conceptualizing and overseeing breakthrough creative campaigns, immersive brand experiences, and innovation-led storytelling that leverages Google, Adobe, Invidia, and more platforms, data, and AI tools. You’ll collaborate with top-tier creative agencies, production cross-functional teams, and technology partners to deliver culturally resonant, tech-enabled work that captivates consumers around the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Creative Vision: Define and execute the creative vision for HEX campaigns through AI, Gaming, experience and more— from ideation to execution.
  • Partner Collaboration: Serve as the key creative stakeholder for the HEX and innovation teams, ensuring alignment and co-creation of high-impact, purpose-driven content and experiences.
  • AI-Driven Innovation: Champion the use of generative AI and emerging technologies in creative development. Lead cross-functional initiatives to explore new storytelling formats and data-informed creativity.
  • Creative Excellence and Craft: Elevate the standard of creative work across all touchpoints, ensuring ideas are bold, brand-relevant, and globally scalable.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire creative technologists teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Strategic Alignment: Work closely with global brand, media, digital, production, creative and data teams to ensure creative strategies are insight-led, consumer-centric, and performance-informed.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent HEX at industry events, thought-leadership panels, and internal forums as a champion for creativity, technology, and cultural relevance.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Wealth experience in creative leadership roles, preferably within global brands, top-tier agencies, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Proven success in leading global campaigns with technology partners or other digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI tools, generative design, machine learning
  • Exceptional creative judgment with a portfolio showcasing bold, innovative, and effective work.
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and managing global creative networks.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to bridge creative, tech, and business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and team-building skills.
  • Global mindset with deep cultural awareness and an eye for emerging trends and technologies.
