What does a Talent Manager do at WPP Production? 

The Broadcast Talent Manager is responsible for managing Hogarth's broadcast talent and traffic functions and works closely with the production and editing staff to manage all talent-related matters. The responsibilities of the Talent Manager include day-to-day management of talent-related issues and relationship management with casting agencies and talent payment vendors.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders: 

This role reports to the Head of Business Affairs.  

 You will work closely with production, finance and external vendor teams.   

Requirements

  • Collaborate with internal agency partners to manage talent needs of local, regional, national, and global accounts
  • Ensure clients and agency partners understand implications of talent needs in relation to client objectives
  • Ongoing review of talent process and practices with an eye toward enhancing profitability and improving effectiveness
  • Advise internal agency partners and other WPP Production offices on best practices regarding US talent management, usage processes, and the competitive landscape
  • Continuous sourcing of 3rd party vendors for talent, talent payments, etc.
  • Provide oversight of traffic for researching licensing information, handling network
  • Report music royalties and stock photos licenses

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of agency and broadcast talent experience
  • Thorough understanding of SAG-AFTRA rules, talent payment guidelines, and invoicing procedures
  • Knowledge of "best in class" industry vendors and casting agencies
  • Thorough understanding of post-production business model, ability to create accurate time of staff estimates, and manage budgets to client/agency expectations

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
