What does a Senior Production Coordinator - CGI/VFX do at WPP Production?
The Senior Production Coordinator - CGI/VFX leads complex, high-profile projects at WPP Production, acting as a partner to Project Managers, ensuring seamless client delivery and where needed, client engagement in meetings. They partner with PMs to manage projects end-to-end, from scoping, production kick off through to delivery. They support overseeing budgets, timelines, and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
This role involves building partnerships across WPP Production’s global network, optimizing workflows, and leveraging resources effectively. Exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills are essential to exceed client expectations and ensure accurate, timely updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with PM team on assigned project to support project execution and delivery.
- Point of contact for PM team to support client and agency partner queries on assigned projects regarding status, timings, budget, and changes.
- Deliver exemplary customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Look for ways and means to deliver continuous improvement to our clients as experts in our field.
- Provide advice and information on technical matters to PM team to support client level updates and comms.
- Tracks the progress of daily tasks, such as modelling, texturing, lighting, and rendering, ensuring assets meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Partner with PM team to plan & manage delivery of projects for clients across a range of different executions.
- Creation and maintenance of statements of work, estimates, briefs, project plans, RAID logs, change control, and RAG reports.
- Contribute to status meetings, retrospectives, and lessons learned sessions, where applicable, documenting where necessary.
- Monitor project risks & issues, ensuring that actions are in place to resolve or mitigate them, escalating at the earliest opportunity when required.
- Regular financial reporting and reconciliations, ensuring project budgets are managed within tolerances.
- Interface with 3rd party vendors, agency partners, and internal departments where applicable.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of projects, ensuring all relevant quality assurance protocols are followed.
- Familiarity with CG pipelines (e.g., Maya, Houdini), production tracking software (e.g., ShotGrid/Shotgun), and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Previous experience in animation, VFX, or an office production environment.
