The Role

This Post Producer is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of post-production for a wide range of advertising content, including broadcast commercials, digital video, social media assets, and more. Working closely with both internal and external teams, the Post Producer ensures seamless execution across all post-production phases – from editorial and VFX to sound design, color grading, and final delivery – on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and track detailed post-production schedules, budgets, and timelines for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring all milestones are met efficiently.
  • Oversee all stages of post-production to ensure the creative vision is realized and final deliverables are flawless across all required platforms and formats.
  • Manage internal post-production resources to ensure high quality of work and balanced workload distribution among editors; identify and engage external talent or post-production houses only when necessary to support capacity or specific technical requirements.
  • Establish and maintain efficient post-production workflows, ensuring clear communication channels and seamless handoffs between internal teams and external partners.
  • Anticipate potential issues, troubleshoot problems proactively, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Manage the final delivery process, ensuring all assets are correctly formatted, archived, and delivered to media partners, clients, or internal teams according to specifications and deadlines.

 

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of demonstrable experience as a Post Producer or similar role within an advertising agency or a high-volume post-production facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects) and DaVinci Resolve capabilities.
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and reconcile complex post-production budgets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for logical reasoning; must demonstrate the ability to fully comprehend complex briefs and clearly articulate requirements to post-production teams and clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • A keen interest in emerging technologies and creative applications of AI specifically for the Chinese digital landscape.
  • Based in Wuxi, with a requirement to complete a 3-month training period at the Shanghai office to familiarize with WPP Production's systems and protocols; occasional travel to Shanghai may be required for specific client meetings or project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and independently complete editing tasks according to the WPP Production project post-production workflow.
  • Maintain timely and effective communication with production, creative teams, and directors, and perform editing based on the script.
  • Provide timely feedback on any issues identified during the video shooting and editing process, and offer ideas and approaches for post-production content.
  • Collaborate with the shooting team for on-location shoots.
  • Guide and assist junior team members in completing production tasks based on project/team requirements.

Requirements

  • Over 6 years of editing experience in advertising, documentaries, and dramas, with proficiency in mainstream editing software.
  • Clear and agile thinking, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to work.
  • Strong learning ability, willing to accept challenges and handle work pressure, with excellent communication skills and a spirit of teamwork.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Experience with Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D is a plus.
  • Strong learning ability and ability to work under pressure.
