We collaborate with our clients to craft campaigns across multiple platforms and disciplines, adopting an innovative and agile approach to creative and post-production processes.

The Sr. Post Producer is a highly experienced, strategic leader overseeing comprehensive management and successful delivery of complex, high-profile post-production projects. This role demands deep post-production pipeline understanding, exceptional client management, and mentorship abilities. They take full ownership from concept through final delivery, ensuring highest creative standards, on-time execution, budget adherence, strong client relationships, and optimized workflow. This dynamic role partners with the integrated production team, actively engaging with primary production from concept and scoping to ensure seamless creative continuity and strategic oversight through post-production.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Executive Post Producer. You will work closely with clients, agency partners, creative teams, and primary production teams. A critical aspect involves proactive engagement with agency creative directors and primary producers to maintain the project's creative vision and through-line from initial brief through post-production completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end post-production lifecycle, managing multiple complex projects. Actively assist in executing creative concepts, develop comprehensive production rationale with an innovation mindset, and oversee integrated production elements that feed into post-production.
  • Master budget and schedule management, track risks, and oversee financial aspects including talent negotiations, payments, and legal considerations.
  • Serve as the primary client and agency contact, building strong relationships, managing expectations, and providing expert guidance on content production to enhance quality through creative and budgetary solutions.
  • Mentor post-production teams and junior producers, fostering collaboration and allocating resources effectively.
  • Champion workflow optimization, best practices, and innovative solutions, ensuring efficient asset management and adherence to WPP Production standards across integrated productions.
  • Strategically manage internal/external resources, cultivate vendor partnerships, identify emerging talent, and skillfully negotiate rates and contracts.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of post-production techniques, software, and emerging technologies, including robust knowledge of filmmaking, photography, digital platforms, and formats, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and music's role in content enhancement, ensuring seamless integration from shoot through final post.
  • Proactively identify issues, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and proficient conflict resolution under pressure.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet WPP Production's rigorous quality standards, conducting thorough reviews and approvals, and upholding fiscal responsibility and ethical standards.
  • Oversee financial reconciliation, approve invoices, and provide detailed reporting.
  • Collaborate globally and closely with digital, social, and experiential teams for seamless asset integration across channels.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience, primarily in a Post Production environment, but with significant engagement and understanding of integrated production workflows within advertising, including experience with shoots.
  • Advanced understanding of production, post-production, and adaptation workflows across diverse content types.
  • Expert-level knowledge of all post-production techniques, software, and relevant technologies (e.g., After Effects, Maya, Nuke, Cinema 4D, Flame, DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine).
  • Deep familiarity with all roles, functions, and capabilities within a modern Post Production Department.
  • Exceptional client relationship management, leadership, and mentorship abilities.
  • Highly results-driven, proactive, autonomous, demonstrating a strong take-ownership attitude, and capable of managing multiple integrated projects simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry-standard technology including Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to new methods and technologies. Ability to bring innovative ideas to the table, and skilled in navigating contracts and dynamic production processes.
  • Extensive experience with booking VO talent, managing music licensing, and utilizing stock asset libraries.
  • Superior time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills. Self-organizing and highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple integrated projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable to new methods and technologies. Possesses comprehensive advertising acumen, including an understanding of strategies, platforms, and creative concepts across all agency disciplines, and able to communicate up, down, and laterally to all project stakeholders.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
