What does a Freelance HR Coordinator do at WPP Production?

Our HR Coordinators are the operational backbone of the People function. They ensure employee and freelancer experience starts and ends smoothly. From the moment someone joins the team to the day they move on, you will be the driving force behind accurate, compliant, and people-first HR processes.

This is a role for someone who thrives on organization, takes pride in getting the details right, and genuinely cares about the experience of the people around them. You will work closely with the Payroll team, HR leadership, and managers across the business to keep our people data accurate, our processes compliant, and our new hires set up for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding for full-time employees and freelancers, including I-9 and W-4 processing and new hire paperwork
  • Ensure new hires are set up for success from day one - equipment, system access, training schedules, and communications
  • Maintain and audit personnel files and HR database, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable federal and state requirements
  • Partner with the HR/Payroll team to ensure accurate employee data and timely payments
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to onboarding, benefits, and HR processes

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of HR coordination or generalist experience
  • Hands-on experience processing I-9s, W-4s, and navigating state tax nuances
  • Experience with an HRIS system — BambooHR strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance and employment regulations
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and discretion
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

The pay rate for this position at the time of this posting may range from $24 to $50 per hour. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
