A Hybrid working model

This is a 12-month contract opportunity, based onsite with a telecommunications client's office.

The Creative Tech (Art Lead) plays a crucial role in guiding and overseeing our brand's visual identity. This role involves spearheading the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge design technologies and methodologies. Working at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy, the Creative Tech (Art) Lead creates forward-thinking solutions that push the boundaries of traditional design. From static imagery to motion graphics, this role transforms ordinary briefs into extraordinary experiences through creative execution and strategic campaign planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative vision and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external teams.

Together with key stakeholders and reporting to the Creative Director, this role ensures all creative outputs and formats are aligned with Singtel’s brand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Creative Tech (Art) professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee all stages of design projects from conception to execution, ensuring that timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Campaign Planning: Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan and execute creative campaigns. Ensure all visual content supports the overarching campaign strategy and business goals. Work closely with Creative Director, Brand, Engagement and Loyalty teams, peers, and other key stakeholders to brainstorm and develop content ideas. Provide clear, concise direction and feedback to internal and external parties involved in content production.
  • Strategic Communication: Collaborate across functions, presenting design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, and articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
  • AI Integration: Utilize AI tools to streamline design processes, enhance creativity, and improve decision-making. This includes generative design techniques to explore new concepts and optimize existing designs.
  • Strong Copywriting: Complement visual content with creative, clear, and concise writing.
  • Innovation & Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in visual media. Continuously seek innovative ways to improve content quality and effectiveness, especially in an AI-powered world.
  • Strategic Design Leadership: Define the overall design strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the company’s vision and leverages AI capabilities to enhance product offerings.

Ideal Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in design roles, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership position at an in-house Creative team or advertising agency. Experience with AI-driven design processes is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
  • A senior creative and problem-solver who is able to drive multiple projects from start to finish.
  • An expert in design workflows with the ability to execute static ideas into flawless moving visuals.
  • Does not hesitate to get into the details and does not lose sight of the broader strategic intent.
  • A strategic thinker, always curious and creatively-minded.
  • Able to give and receive feedback positively without taking it too personally, and able to see the value of different perspectives.
  • Able to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills and be fluent in English.
  • A leader and a good team player; able to work well independently or with a team while under pressure.
