Creative Director (Freelance – Remote | Brazil)
WPP Production is looking for a freelance Creative Director to join our team on a fully remote basis in Brazil.
This is a full-time freelance opportunity (8 hours per day, 5 days per week), with work performed remotely from the candidate's home in Brazil.
The engagement includes a mandatory 5-day training during the week commencing August 3rd, followed by the project period from August 10th through September 9th.
Although the role is fully remote, occasional travel may be required to attend client workshops or meetings.
What does a Creative Director do at WPP Production?
The Creative Director / Transcreator is responsible for writing headlines and transcreating marketing copy for leading technology brands across multiple communication channels, including digital, retail, direct marketing, and other customer-facing materials.
This role requires ensuring that content originally created in U.S. English is creatively adapted for the local market while preserving the original message, tone of voice, and strategic intent.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, review, and develop creative campaigns for the client's products and brand.
- Maintain the brand's tone of voice across all communication channels.
- Create and transcreate marketing copy that accurately reflects the intent and strategy of the English master copy.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all translated and localized content.
- Review, rewrite, and approve marketing copy produced by translation and editorial teams.
- Collaborate closely with creative, editorial, and production teams.
- Participate in confidential client projects and travel when required.
Requirements
- Strong creative thinking and exceptional copywriting skills.
- Previous experience working in leading creative agencies.
- Several years of experience as a Copywriter and later as a Copy-based Creative Director or Transcreator.
- Experience working with both global and local brands.
- Fluent written and spoken English with excellent understanding of language nuances.
- Ability to develop creative concepts while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
- Passion for producing high-quality, engaging, and inspiring copy.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with editors and creative teams.
- Native speaker or based in the target market.
- Comfortable using MacOS (or willing to learn quickly).
- Good knowledge of consumer technology products.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Requirements
- MacBook no older than 5 years.
- Minimum 8 GB RAM.
- Reliable internet connection suitable for full-time remote work.
