A Hybrid working model

This is a maternity leave cover for 8 months, working onsite with a telco client. 

Role Summary: We are looking for a seasoned and commercially-minded Brand Strategist to step into a critical maternity cover role within the Brand & Integrated Marketing team. This role goes beyond campaign delivery — it is a hybrid of communications strategy, brand & business planning, and operational leadership, with responsibility for ensuring brand consistency in-market and supporting business growth priorities. You will shape brand and communications strategy, drive campaign planning, and uphold agency and operational excellence. This role requires someone who can integrate quickly, bring structure, and lead with strong ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Brand, Communications Strategy & Business Planning

  • Lead annual and in-quarter brand and campaign planning in line with business priorities, commercial targets, and market dynamics
  • Develop communications strategies that strengthen brand positioning and differentiation
  • Translate business objectives and insights into actionable brand and campaign plans
  • Identify growth opportunities through consumer insights, competitive analysis, and business date

Agency & Partner Management

  • Lead agency relationships across creative, media, and production, ensuring strategic alignment and high-quality output
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable partnership model aligned to business needs
  • Maintain governance and stakeholder alignment to minimise execution risk

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with internal teams to align communications strategy with business priorities
  • Provide leadership with clear, data-backed updates and recommendations
  • Build trusted relationships across key stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in brand management, communications strategy, or marketing
  • Strong track record in brand and campaign planning, with the ability to connect strategy to commercial outcomes
  • Deep expertise in agency management, including briefing, performance management, and cost optimisation
  • Strong operational discipline, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines with precision
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging senior leadership
  • Experience in telecommunications, technology, or FMCG environments is highly advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
